Gates provide CDM Co-ordinator services under the CDM (2007) Regulations in conjunction with our other services, or as a stand alone service as required.
As a Client, you have obligations and responsibilities under the CDM Regulations 2007
These responsibilities include appointment as early as possible of a competent CDM Coordinator:
- We are competent to provide a full CDM Co-ordinator service; we hold corporate and individual membership of the Association of Project Safety and NEBOSH Construction Certification confirming our competency to act as CDM Co-ordinators in accordance with the Regulations.
- We have extensive practical experience of construction site Health and Safety
- We focus on practical planning and management to achieve compliance
We will:
- Notify the project to the Health and Safety Executive
- Work with you to make sure that competent Designers and Contractors are employed
- Define your precise requirements for the final Health and Safety File at the outset of the project and agree these with the Principal Contractor
- Work with you to make sure that Health and Safety management arrangements are in place at project commencement through to completion.
- Liaise with Designers and Contractors from the outset to ensure compliance with the obligations of the Regulations
- Prepare, update and issue Pre-Construction Information, provide relevant Health and Safety information to the right people at the right time – ensuring full awareness of Health and Safety issues in accordance with the Regulations
- Ensure that there is a Construction Phase plan in place and that it complies with the Regulations
- Provide regular Health and Safety reviews of the Construction Plan throughout the project, attending site on an ad hoc and formal basis
- Issue the completed Health and Safety file to the Client on completion of the project
- Provide a post completion Health and Safety review and provide advice on Health and Safety issues
- Ensure that your obligations as a Client are fully discharged from inception to completion of the project.
